Entrepreneurship Development Program Cell (EDP Cell)

Establishment of EDP Cell in Sanjivani: Sanjivani College of Engineering established the Entrepreneurship Development Program Cell (EDP Cell) in 2018-19 to boost entrepreneurial activities on campus. Sanjivani College actively promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-up initiatives to equip students with entrepreneurial skills and opportunities. Through various initiatives, facilities, and support systems such as the EDP Cell, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) under the Ministry of Education (MoE), and SIC (SPPU Start-up and Innovation Cell) under Savitribai Phule Pune University, have been established in SCOE for a robust ecosystem to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.

Under the EDP, coordinators from each department are appointed to support entrepreneurship activities and various competitions within the institute and outside the institute. This team also includes students from each department. Willingly interested students join the EDP cell at any time and can participate in the various events.

Goals and Objectives of EDP Cell

Create awareness among the students about the current entrepreneurship opportunities by conducting expert sessions and entrepreneurial programs on campus.
Inspire the students to think beyond traditional career paths and inculcate entrepreneurial skills among the students.
Promote various initiatives and activities proposed by the IIC, SIH, AICTE, and other similar initiatives by SPPU like Avishkar, Startup Olympiad, i-2-e, DIPEX, IIT events and competitions, etc.
Provide access to available resources such as co-working space, mentorship help, expert advice, and create a supportive network for the development of ideas and products.

Roles & Responsibilities of EDP Cell

To organize entrepreneurial activities regularly on the campus to promote innovative ideas, startups, projects, etc.
To motivate the students to participate in various competitions at the university, state, national, and international levels in the field of entrepreneurship development.
To organize motivational sessions/talk shows featuring successful entrepreneurs and young alumni entrepreneurs.
To motivate budding entrepreneurs to take advantage of government initiatives towards entrepreneurship, such as Make in India, Startup India, SIH, MSME initiatives, i-2-e, UDHYAM, DIPEX, AVISHKAR, etc.
To conduct workshops, seminars, training programs, boot camps, and skilling programs with external experts.
