SCOE upholds the highest standards of academic integrity, professional ethics, and respectful conduct for all stakeholders.
Academic Conduct
- 1Maintain 75% minimum attendance in all theory and practical sessions as per SPPU norms. Habitual absence without prior leave is a disciplinary matter.
- 2Complete all assignments, lab records, and projects honestly. Plagiarism, copying, or submitting others' work as your own is a serious academic offence.
- 3Maintain silence and decorum in classrooms, library, and examination halls. Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent mode in academic areas.
- 4Arrive on time for all lectures, practicals, and examinations. Latecomers may be denied entry at the discretion of the faculty.
- 5Treat all academic resources (books, equipment, computers, lab instruments) with care. Any damage caused must be compensated.
- 6Follow proper procedure for leave applications through the class teacher and department. Medical leave must be supported by a valid certificate.
Social & Behavioural Conduct
- Treat all fellow students, faculty, and staff with dignity and respect regardless of gender, religion, caste, or community.
- Zero tolerance for ragging in any form — physical, verbal, psychological, or cyberbullying. Report any instance to Dean Students or the Anti-Ragging Helpline 1800-180-5522.
- Dress code: Students must wear the prescribed uniform/college ID card on campus at all times. Decent and appropriate attire is expected at all times.
- No consumption of tobacco, alcohol, or any intoxicants on campus premises. Such behaviour will lead to immediate disciplinary action.
- Use social media responsibly. Defamatory, offensive, or misleading content about the college, faculty, or fellow students is prohibited.
- Students representing the college in external events must uphold the institution's reputation and follow all event-specific guidelines.
- Maintain campus cleanliness. Use designated dustbins. Littering and damaging campus infrastructure is a punishable offence.
IT & Digital Conduct
- Institute computers and internet must be used only for academic and research purposes. Accessing inappropriate content is strictly prohibited.
- Students must not attempt to hack, damage, or misuse institute IT systems, networks, or servers.
